Our governing bodies include

• The Vatican—the official website of the Holy See.
• United States Conference of Catholic Bishops—the official organization of the Catholic hierarchy in the United States; a canonical entity governing the church, and a public policy arm.

The four dioceses that comprise the Catholic Conference of Kentucky:

• Archdiocese of Louisville
• Diocese of Covington
• Diocese of Owensboro
• Diocese of Lexington

In accordance with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, the Catholic Conference of Kentucky works with and supports these groups:

• Catholic Charities USA—the largest private network of social service organizations in the United States works to support families, reduce poverty, and build communities.
• Catholic Relief Services— the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. We alleviate suffering and provide assistance to people in need in more than 100 countries, without regard to race, religion or nationality.”
• Justice for Immigrants—a campaign to educate the public about Church teaching on migration and immigrants, create political will for positive immigration reform, enact legislative and administrative reforms based on the principles articulated by the bishops, and organize Catholic networks to assist qualified immigrants obtain the benefits of the reforms.
• Kentucky Council of Churches—serving churches in the Commonwealth of Kentucky as the instrument of its members to nurture the unity of the body of Christ and to anticipate that unity, however partially, through common witness and service.
• EdChoice Kentucky—a grassroots organizing advocacy group uniting parents, teachers, and volunteers to achieve its goals, including seeking to secure appropriate financial support for all parents of non-public school children.
• National Association of State Catholic Conference Directors—an association of the executive directors of state Catholic conferences and affiliate diocesan agencies.
